GE Interlogix Request-to-Exit PIR, is compatible with all access control systems, and provides superior detection by employing microprocessor based signal processing. This signal processing compares signal duration, polarity and time values for reduced false alarms. The sensor output for the RTE1000 consists of a Form C relay that can be interfaced with door locking devices. Additional relay contacts can be used for another control signal or bypass device, such as a door contact, while the relay is activated. A unique feature in the RTE1000 is a separate relay that can also monitor the door contact for door position to eliminate excessive amounts of time that the door is unlocked. If the sensor does not detect a door opening within five seconds of motion detection, the door is immediately re-locked unless the relay time is extended. The RTE1000 provides four programmable latch times ranging from 5 seconds to 120 seconds. Following a normal egress, the sensor locks the door automatically. An External Over Drive input is provided to allow activation of the door unlock timing circuitry from other devices such as remote push buttons, timers, keypads or card readers.
