t-1577-1376.bmp Monitors output of low-voltage device Connects low-voltage device to home automation system The Digital Input/Low Voltage Probe allows you to monitor the output of a low-voltage device with your home automation system. This probe can be attached to any device that generates a 3-24 volt (AC or DC) signal. Use this probe to provide a digital input signal to any of the following: X10 to IR Linc, PC to IR Linc or I/O Linc (each sold separately). When installed and operating properly, the Digital Input/Low Voltage Probe will inform its base unit when low AC or DC voltage is sensed. An example of its use would be with an amplifier that outputs low voltage when it is powered on. The X10 to IR Linc allows X10/PLC signals to control A/V equipment with infrared (IR) signals and stores up to 31 commands. When the Digital Input/Low Voltage Probe is used, it allows for explicit on/off control. The PC-IR Linc lets you use your PC to send infrared signals to audio and video equipment. Using the Digital Input/Low Voltage Probe allows for explicit on/off control of one A/V device. When connected to the I/O Linc, up to four probes will send X10/PLC signals when a change in the probe's state is detected; you can also use its four dry-contact SPDT relays to control low-voltage devices. Do not attempt to connect the probe unless you understand all the technical and safety aspects of connecting directly to electronic circuits.
