The Alarm.com ADC-V700X outdoor day/night IP camera is PoE-compatible,
allowing it to be powered by the Ethernet
cable if connected to the ADC-POE power-over-ethernet (PoE) injector
installed at the network router.
When installing the ADC-V700X with
this PoE injector, the camera's power socket wire and AC power adapter
are not used, since it derives power from its Ethernet connection to the
PoE power injector instead.
This allows you to run only one wire back
from the camera to the router, without worrying about a power cable.
