ACT designs and manufactures state of the art LED lighting products and lighting controls. ACT is proud to be contributing innovative solutions, in view of these facts from the Department of Energy:
•The DOE projects that lighting consumes 22% of electricity in the United States. In a home, lighting may be 10% of an electric bill, but in an office or industrial building the figure is closer to 40%.
•The DOE predicts that solid state lighting SSL has the potential to reduce energy use for lighting by one third by 2030. That is equivalent to saving the output of 40 large (1,000-megawatt) power plants, the greenhouse gas emissions of 47 million cars and $30 billion.
•In addition, light-emitting diode LED lights typically last 3-10 times longer, thereby reducing costs for replacements, labor and hazardous material disposal
