The XPNR Noise Reducer helps to reduce noise pollution on the power line. Some electrical appliances, such as big screen TVs, generate noise on the power line. These noisy devices will render part or all of your X10 system inoperable either intermittently or all the time. This Noise Reducer uses a tuned circuit which is normally invisible to any X10 receiver. When offending noise is detected, the Noise Reducer will attenuate signals above and below the frequency of the 120 KHz X10 signals. The unique characteristics of this device also help to minimize the effects of transients and spikes on the power line. It is a wired-in filter but is placed across the power line, not in series as the XPPF and the XPNR.
