  HAI-38A05
HAI-38A05.jpg A House Controller acts as the master lighting control that shows the
status for up to eight rooms. If any light is on in one of its rooms,
the button for that room is illuminated. Pressing the House Controller
button will turn all of the lights in that room on or off.

The default color for a House Controller is White. House Controller
Switch Color Change Kits (HAI Part Number 38A05-color codeCS) are
available in White (WH), Almond (AL), Black (BL), Ivory (IV), Brown
(BR), and Grey (GR) colors.

A House Controller may be used as master lighting control to show the
status and turn all lights on or all lights off in up to 8 rooms in a
home where HLC Switches have been installed. It can also be used for
various other lighting control applications, such as controlling 8
individual loads or lighting scenes.

A House Controller is an optional device in an HLC installation.

House Controllers use heavy duty components and UPB communication
technology for professional strength, reliability, and the ability to be
remotely controlled by UPB™ compatible home control systems. They work
over existing house wiring for easy installation in renovations,
retrofits, and upgrades and are UL-Listed.

House Controllers may be used in an Omni family or Lumina family home control system as part of sophisticated lighting control.

Adding a home control system gives you the ability to change your light
settings by the time of day, a set schedule, by the triggering of events
(including motion), via a telephone call, or by a computer connected to
the Internet.

HAI's Lumina family of home control systems was specifically designed
for lighting control. If you are looking for a home control system that
includes security, HAI's Omni family of home control systems can provide
the lighting control you need.

House Controller Operation

If a button is lit, one or more lights in the room is on. Pressing a
lighted button turns off all of the lights in that room. When a
non-lighted button is pressed all of the lights in that room are turned
on.

When used with an HAI home control system, the House Controller is fully
customizable through HAI's standard setup. For example, a House
Controller button in a home theatre room may be set to run a program
within the home control system that shuts the room's outside curtains,
opens the curtains in front of the theatre screen, adjusts the
temperature to a cozy setting, and dims the room's lights to an optimal
setting to watch a movie.

When used without an HAI home control system, the House Controller can
be configured to control lighting scenes throughout the house.

LED

Each pushbutton is slightly backlit so that the buttons may be seen in a
dark room. Depending on the configuration of the House Controller, one
or more of the eight pushbuttons will be distinctly illuminated in blue
color, indicating that one or more lights are on in the respective
room(s). If a pushbutton is not illuminated, all of the lights in the
respective rooms are currently off.

You may change the intensity, but not the color, of the LED using the HAI UPB™ UPStart configuration software
